With a discreet mineral base, our 1er Cru LES VASÉES is dense, with powerful aromas of black fruits coated with woody notes, and a garnet-red colour. Its silky, elegant tannins give it a long-lasting finish.
Our Organic Grand Vin de Bourgogne is best enjoyed young, but can also age beautifully.
The 1er Cru Les Vasées is one of the finest terroirs of Mercurey, in Burgundy. It comes from our parcel of 1.7 hectares with south-east exposure. It takes its name from the curved shape of the soil, the result of water erosion. The soil is marly, deep, not very chalky and full of small pebbles about 5 cm in diameter.
The vines are around forty years old, 100% Pinot Noir, and reach maturity early, which is typical of the area.
This produces wines that are generally powerful and a little later in their development.
